The Orate Lab Curriculum

W.A.Y. (Who Are You) Statement Creation

Individual 30-60 second statements where you introduce yourself to the audience. These statements can be personal, used for business, or statement of future goals.

Prodigy Off the Cuff (P.O.C.)

P.O.C. is a segment where the facilitator asks you random questions to help with extemporaneous speaking, thinking on your feet, and answering what is asked. Answers must be 75 – 120 seconds.

Speaking Without Filters

We focus on not using filler words such as “um”, “like”, “you know”, “ah”. When you’re speaking, other participants and the facilitator will monitor for the use of fillers.
